Operation 'Beretka': Three arrested in Sarajevo, 38.8 kg of various drugs worth BAM 500,000 found

(Patria) - Continuing planned activities to suppress drug trafficking, police officers of the Department for Combating Drug Abuse, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton, have carried out an operational action codenamed "Beretka".

"During searches in the areas of Novi Sarajevo and Stari Grad, several different packages of various substances suspected to be cocaine, speed, and marijuana were found, with a total quantity of approximately 38.8 kilograms, a certain amount of cash, eight mobile phones, foreign personal documents suspected to be forged, and numerous other items of interest to the investigation.

Narcotics with a street value of over half a million convertible marks were seized.

Due to the grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offenses of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs and Forgery of Documents, B.K. (1998) and E.I. (1989) from Sarajevo, and J.L. (1998) from Pale, were deprived of their liberty due to the grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of Unauthorized Production and Trafficking of Narcotic Drugs.

By checking relevant databases, it was also determined that the male individual E.I. is the subject of an international central search warrant, based on an act of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 05.07.2025.
