Agrokor operation at over 60 locations, Todorić abroad

The Agrokor police operation started early this morning, reports N1 reporter Hrvoje Krešić, who is in front of Kulmer's Palace, Todorić's residence.

The Croatian State Attorney's Office has been conducting investigations for months, and shortly before 6 AM this morning - the police arrived at Kulmer's Palace.

Between 10 and 20 people are the 'target' of the investigation, reports our reporter Vanja Kranic.

The Agrokor operation is taking place at more than 60 locations, with nearly 300 police officers on the ground.

Todorić is abroad, his lawyer Rajko Čogurić confirmed for N1.

Meanwhile, Todorić himself commented on his blog.

"Unexpectedly, because the institutions of the rule of law will certainly not find any criminal offenses in Agrokor, the pressure of politics and the media lynching that has already delivered a verdict without a trial, have initiated an aggression towards me and people who, I assure you, are not guilty. If they had found even one Euro of misappropriated and embezzled money, I would already be in prison. But that is simply not true. This is a political process. I am not prepared to watch and wait for a supposed criminal amount to be accumulated through well-known patterns, by political decrees, as in some dark times, from which I cannot defend myself," wrote Todorić.

He said that with his Croatian and international legal team, he is preparing a defense and lawsuits that, he said, "in judicial epilogues, will shed light on and bring to justice all those who, through criminal activities and unconstitutional law, created a screen for the greatest theft of private property in modern Europe."

"I will do this in the next few days, because my human rights have been severely violated. In doing so, I will be available to the institutions of the rule of law, as well as to the parliamentary investigative committee," wrote Todorić, among other things, reports NAP.
