
(Patria) - Three individuals from Banja Luka were arrested for accepting bribes in the "Ada" police operation aimed at preventing corruption offenses, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska announced.
In the operation conducted yesterday and today, individuals with the initials S.M., G.V., and V.M. were arrested. Sanja Maksimović and Gordana Vučić were arrested in Banja Luka yesterday, and Vladan Marjanović was arrested in East Sarajevo today. All are market inspectors.
Locations used by individuals S.M. and G.V. were searched, and a large amount of money and other items related to the criminal offense in question were found and seized.
Individuals S.M. and G.V. were handed over to the competent prosecutor's office, while criminal processing of individual V.M. is ongoing.
The "Ada" operation was carried out by police officers of the Criminal Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska under the supervision of the Special Department for Combating Corruption, Organized and the Most Serious Forms of Economic Crime of the Republic Public Prosecutor's Office, and by order of the District Court in Banja Luka.
