SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Herzegovina audience will be able to watch a series of excellent domestic documentaries from August 16 to 25.
The Al Jazeera Balkans Documentary Film Festival (AJB DOC), in cooperation with the Center for Culture "Narodni univerzitet Konjic", will again visit this city from August 16 to 25, 2021, as part of the "Konjic Cultural Summer 2021" event. Four films selected from the program of the pandemic edition of the 2020 festival program will be screened in the summer cinema. The domestic films to be shown in Konjic are: Portrait of a Legend - Vaha, about one of the most popular footballers and coaches from our region, Vahid Halilhodžić; Džemo, about a shepherd in love with running, which changes his life radically; Dream Team Babe, about pensioners from Ljubuški who delight with their energy and musical performances; and the film Neighbors, a story about people forced to leave everything behind and seek a better life.
All films are shown in the evening slot at 8:30 PM. The quality of the selected program is also evidenced by the fact that the film Neighbors won the professional jury award for the AJB Showcases selection, and after the Festival concluded, Džemo was awarded a Special
Award as the most watched film with over 60,000 views during the five festival days.
The Festival organizers announced that last year's great interest from the Konjic audience encouraged them to repeat this visit, but also to cooperate with other events throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, thus meeting the audience's needs and ensuring the best possible visibility for quality domestic productions.
