Agrokor pays suppliers: What will be the guarantees for the loan

The purpose of Agrokor's new loan of around 200 million euros, expected by the end of this week, should be to refinance the old debts of Agrokor's suppliers, as was the case with the first loan of 80 million euros approved after the adoption of the so-called lex Agrokor.

Agrokor has several companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina employing 5,296 people.

Only in 250 Konzum stores in BiH, there are 4,153 employees. Agrokor has more "daughter companies" in the Federation of BiH, four of which are in Sarajevo: Pik Vrbovec, Zvijezda, Konzum, Velpro, and Super kartica. Agrokor - Zagreb d.o.o. is registered in Grude, and Ledo d.o.o. in Čitluk. Sarajevski kiseljak d.d. in Kiseljak is also owned by Agrokor and is an extremely high-quality company.

Besides the workers, many suppliers fear for the fate of Agrokor.

The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH, Fadil Novalić, recently stated that Agrokor owes suppliers in BiH around 450 million KM, and therefore, as he pointed out, it would not be good if any kind of collapse occurred in Agrokor.

In Serbia, they were explicit in prohibiting any of the companies from being pledged for this crucial loan in euros.

Will some of these successful BiH companies, these real estates, be pledged as guarantees for this enormous loan?

No one is coming forward with these facts, nor are they dealing with this possible upheaval in Agrokor. Summer and the tourist season are approaching, in which many place their hopes for Agrokor's recovery.
