Sarajevo Airport: Border Police Seize Watch Worth 15,000 BAM

A Sarajevo resident attempted to bring a watch worth around 15,000 BAM into the country, avoiding paying taxes on it to Bosnia and Herzegovina, after which border police and officials from the Indirect Taxation Authority prevented him from doing so, it was announced by the ITA, writes the BH news agency Patria.

On a flight from Belgrade, a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina residing in Sarajevo, during customs inspection at Sarajevo International Airport, stated that he had nothing to declare to the customs officers. However, a search of his personal luggage revealed a world-renowned Rolex wristwatch, worth around 15,000 BAM.
The watch was purchased in Serbia, and along with it, documentation was found regarding the approved refund of value-added tax to a foreign national who had stayed in that country.

Customs officers have temporarily seized the expensive watch, and its further fate will be decided by the court in Sarajevo, writes Patria.
