Sarajevo Airport: Chinese Nationals Concealed 107,315 Euros, Coffee, Alcohol, and Cigarettes

On January 26, 2015, during a security check for a flight to Dubai, officers of the Border Police Unit at Sarajevo Airport discovered undeclared 107,315 Euros, 2310 Yen, 506 Dollars, 2000 Forints, and 360 Convertible Marks, as well as a large quantity of cigarettes, coffee, and alcohol, on 18 citizens of the People's Republic of China, the BiH Border Police announced, reports Patria News Agency.

- The foreign nationals did not possess the necessary documentation for transporting money and goods across the state border. The duty prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office was informed of the incident, and by their order, the case was handed over to officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH - it was announced.

We remind you that on January 23, 2015, officers of the Border Police Unit at Sarajevo Airport, on a flight to Dubai, prevented an attempt to illegally transfer 45,210 Euros across the state border. A citizen of the People's Republic of China had hidden the money in the wrappers of "Twix" and "Kinder Bueno" chocolate bars. In addition, a search of her personal and checked luggage revealed 350 cartons of "Marlboro Gold" cigarettes and 567 sachets of "Nescafe". The final destination of S. J. (1965) from the PRC was Shanghai. The Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo Canton was informed of the incident, and by their order, the case was handed over to officials of the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH.
