NOVALIĆ'S LAWYER Vidović: I am shocked by the information that Novalić was convicted even before the verdict, the Prosecution used the case for political purposes

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Vasvija Vidović, lawyer of the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, accused in the "Respirators" case, stated that she is shocked and concerned about information in the media that the outcome of the verdict for her client is already known and that it is a conviction.

She points out that both she and the general public are aware that the pronouncement of the verdict is scheduled for April 5, and that the Court's reaction to these media allegations would be more important than hers.

"What I can say is what I have said countless times before, and that is that what the BiH Prosecutor's Office did in this case was a show for the public, a case without a single legally valid piece of evidence," Vidović told Fena.

Commenting on the connection between the pronouncement of the verdict and the announcements by some political leaders in the FBiH about forming the FBiH Government just one day later, Vidović emphasizes that this coincidence is worrying.

"It is interesting that the same political leaders who, even before the indictment was filed, back in the investigation phase, claimed it was organized crime, are now speaking with certainty about the exact date of the formation of the new Federation of BiH government. This coincidence is rightly worrying. Just as the information that pressure is being exerted on judges, if it is being exerted, is worrying," she emphasized.

Referring to the actions of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in this case, she stated that as a lawyer with many years of experience, both domestic and international, she has never witnessed "such a violation of all the rights of the accused in a process".

"The Prosecutor's Office used this case for political purposes, I want to believe that the Court of BiH has not gone down that path," Vidović concluded.

We remind you that the portal Istraga.ba yesterday published findings that the Trial Panel in the Respirators case, after great political pressure and a change of opinion by judge Goran Radević, will issue a conviction against the current Prime Minister Fadil Novalić in order to pave the way for the formation of a new government of the Federation of BiH.
