(Patria) - After the verdict was delivered in the case of Fadil Novalić and others, the lawyers of Fahrudin Solak and Fikret Hodžić also addressed the public. They expressed dissatisfaction with the verdict and pointed out things they believe were not decided in accordance with the law.
Lawyer Marsela Bajramović, who is the legal representative of the suspended head of the Federal Civil Protection Administration, Fahrudin Solak, who was sentenced to six years in prison in the first-instance verdict, said that she disagrees with the conviction part of the verdict and that it does not arise from the evidence.
She stated that all other comments will be presented in the written part of the appeal after they receive the written copy of the verdict.
Bajramović reiterated the statement of judge Branko Perić that one cannot be tried for a wrong assessment of the law, if there was any at all.
"We argued that everything was done in accordance with the law and the instructions of the Public Procurement Agency," said Bajramović.
Lawyer for Fikret Hodžić, Mirna Avdibegović, said that this case will be studied at law faculties.
"I said that this will be a case that will be studied at law faculties, and it will be," said Avdibegović.
She expressed disappointment with the decision and thanked the presiding judge, Perić, for his courage in expressing his opinion and for establishing such a practice.
"Fikret Hodžić was convicted of an act he was not charged with. He was convicted of spending 100,000 KM in a manner known to him, and the money is held by the Court of BiH," said Avdibegović.
She stated that the reasoning is contrary to the facts and even the factual description that was read, and that it is all a disappointing message and that it is disappointing that the media reports turned out to be true.
