Ante Gotovina's Lawyer: Galić and Tolimir got life sentences, and Karadžić got 40 years? What am I missing?

Luka Mišetić, the lawyer of General Ante Gotovina, expressed confusion on Twitter on Thursday regarding the Hague Tribunal's verdict of 40 years in prison for Radovan Karadžić, asking what he had missed in the Karadžić verdict when others received harsher sentences for lesser crimes, reports the Patria news agency.

"Galić received a life sentence for the shelling of Sarajevo. Tolimir was sentenced to life for Srebrenica. Karadžić got 40 years for Sarajevo and Srebrenica combined. What am I missing?", Mišetić asked.

Stanislav Galić, commander of the Romanija Corps of the Army of Republika Srpska, was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2003 as the person most responsible for the long siege of Sarajevo, including the Markale marketplace massacre in 2004, when 66 people were killed.

General of the RS Army Zdravko Tolimir was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2012 for command responsibility for the Srebrenica mass executions, as well as the killing of key members of the Bosniak community in Žepa - as the former assistant to Ratko Mladić for intelligence and security affairs in the Main Staff of the VRS, writes Index.
