Adnan was killed just a few meters from the street named after his father Ramiz Salčin

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton have concluded their investigation in the Sarajevo settlement of Mojmilo, where 26-year-old Adnan Salčin was killed today around 4 PM. Adnan is the son of war hero and commander Ramiz Salčin, writes the Patria News Agency.

After the investigation, led by a prosecutor from the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office of Sarajevo, the body of the murdered young man was removed from the vehicle around 6:40 PM and transported to the morgue of the University Clinical Center Sarajevo. The vehicle in which he was killed was also taken from the scene of the shooting for further forensic examination. The search for Adnan's killer is ongoing.

Ramiz Salčin was killed on August 22, 1992, in the Sarajevo settlement of Vojničko polje while defending the city. He was the commander of the Municipal Staff of the Territorial Defense Novi Grad - Sarajevo.

He was hit by a sniper shot from the direction of Nedžarići. He was posthumously awarded the highest war decoration "Golden Lily" in 1994. Today in Sarajevo, a sports hall, a square, and a street bear his name. Unfortunately, Adnan was killed just a few meters from the street that bears the name of his father, Ramiz Salčin.
