Admiral Mark Ferguson visited Camp Butmir, the headquarters of NATO Staff Sarajevo

Commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples (Italy) Admiral Mark Ferguson visited Camp Butmir, the headquarters of NATO Staff Sarajevo and the European Forces Command in BiH on Wednesday, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Admiral Ferguson met with high-ranking officials and other personnel at Camp Butmir and discussed the activities of EUFOR and NATO in the responsibility zone in the Balkans.

The Admiral's short but purposeful visit included meetings with Brigadier General Giselle Wilz, Commander of NATO Staff Sarajevo, and Major General Friedrich Schrötter, Commander of EUFOR, and discussions on the progress and next steps of BiH on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.

Admiral Ferguson also met with the Chief of the Joint Staff of the BiH Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Anto Jeleč. The meeting discussed cooperation with the BiH Armed Forces, interoperability, and integration into NATO.
