Ademović, Zvizdić and Softić in Istanbul: League of Parliamentarians on the Freedom and Independence of Palestine

Denis Zvizdić met in Istanbul with the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, and congratulated him on everything the Republic of Turkey is doing within its progressive vision of the "Century of Turkey."

During the talks, the interlocutors informed Kurtulmuş about the current situation in the country and thanked the Republic of Turkey for co-sponsoring the Resolution on the Srebrenica Genocide, which will be voted on in May this year at the United Nations General Assembly, when it is expected that July 11 will be declared the International Day of Remembrance of the Srebrenica Genocide, to be commemorated every year.

They agreed that peace and stability in the country are of utmost importance and that, in addition to strong support for the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and multi-ethnicity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey provides strong support to BiH on its path to European and NATO integration.

They also stated that the overall bilateral relations between the two countries are exceptionally good and that there is room for improvement, especially in the areas of economy and investments. They invited Kurtulmuş to visit PSBiH with a delegation of the Turkish Parliament.

Africa and Middle Eastern countries Safet Softić are participating in the Fifth Annual Conference
of the League of Parliamentarians for Al-Quds (Jerusalem), which is being held in Istanbul.

The conference, held under the patronage of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş, and with the presence of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, gathered around 700 parliamentarians from around the world who are discussing the topic "Freedom and Independence of Palestine."
