Adel Tukar (33) from Bugojno demands that the management of Elektroprivreda BiH reinstate him to his job, after he was dismissed a year ago without any explanation. He came with his family in front of the Elektroprivreda building in Sarajevo. He said he will not go home until he receives a promise that he will be returned to work, writes the Patria news agency.
- Bajazit Jašarević – Mensura Zuka – I want my job – Tukar wrote on a banner that he and his wife are holding at the entrance to the Elektroprivreda building.
- I have three children and a wife. My family and I lived off the salary I earned at Elektroprivreda. I was employed as an electrical fitter. I don't know why they terminated my contract, while my other colleagues were given permanent employment – Tukar told NAP.
Tukar's brother died 20 years ago after a wire fell from a power line and killed him. The family sued Elektroprivreda. The company was supposed to pay the family around 130,000 KM in compensation. The Tukars agreed to give up the money in exchange for a job at Elektroprivreda for their elder son.
- I worked at Elektroprivreda for less than two years. But, a year ago, my colleagues at the Elektroprivreda branch in Bugojno told me that I had to go home. They told me that they did not receive approval from the headquarters in Sarajevo to extend my contract. But, they could not explain why my contract was terminated – says Tukar, who claims he was deceived.
He said he doesn't want charity. He just wants his job back. And for the management of Elektroprivreda to treat him fairly.
