
The Association of Fighters First Independent Brigade Stup - Ilidža will mark the 23rd anniversary of the death of Samir Mišić, recipient of the highest wartime recognition "Golden Police Badge" and the first victim of the attack on the MUP school in Vraca, on April 5, 2015, in Sarajevo, it was announced from the Association, reports the Patria News Agency.
Participants will commemorate this young man by laying flowers in front of the gate of the Police Academy in Vraca at 11:00 AM, reciting Fatiha, and observing a minute of silence. At 12:00 PM, flowers will also be laid at the grave of Samir Mišić at the Bare city cemetery.
Laying flowers at the central memorial in front of the Ilidža Municipality building is planned for 1:00 PM.
The first armed resistance to the aggression against Sarajevo in 1992 was offered by students and professors of the Training Center for Cadres in Vraca, led by director Husein Balić. The attack on them was carried out by the Special Unit of the Serbian MUP, led by Milenko Karišik, who was one of the professors to the students.
In the evening hours in Vraca, sixteen-year-old Samir Mišić from Rogatica, a second-year student of the 20th class of the Vraca Police School, was killed, reports NAP.
