21 years since the "Trebević 2" operation

The "Trebević 2" operation, which marks its 21st anniversary today, is one of the most difficult moments in the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina - soldiers of the Army and police officers in besieged Sarajevo shot at each other, writes the BiH news agency Patria (NAP).

In the operation to arrest the renegade commander of the 10th Mountain Brigade, Mušan Topalović Caco, initiated by the state and military leadership of the Republic of BiH, with the aim of dealing with crime and atrocities within their own ranks, nine members of the military police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs were brutally killed.

Topalović was killed when, after his arrest, he attempted to escape, writes NAP.
