100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkiye celebrated with excitement and enthusiasm

(Patria) - The Republic of Turkiye celebrates its 100th anniversary with enthusiasm and excitement through various activities across the country and abroad. With the main theme "From Roots to the Sky" and an emphasis on independence, freedom, and innovation, the 100th anniversary events, marked by 24,000 activities organized by nearly 2,000 institutions and organizations, will continue until the end of the year.

As part of the events that began in early October with the aim of preserving the deep-rooted memory of the struggle for independence and building a bridge from the past to the future, a multitude of different activities have been organized, ranging from celebratory walks to exhibitions, from planting saplings to competitions, from sports events to receptions, from audio-visual media works to panels and symposia, as well as performances of original artistic productions such as the 100th anniversary anthem, which was performed for the first time as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations, and the film "The Last Supper".

In Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir, various activities are being organized under the coordination of the Directorate of Communications of the Presidency. Some of these activities are carried out under the following titles: "100th Anniversary Exhibition Spaces Project", "Century of Turkiye Installation", "100 Years of Turkiye from Past to Present Exhibition Space", "Special Exhibition of 100 Years of Turkiye by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan", Monolithic Towers of the Century of Turkiye, "Voice of the Republic, Color of the Republic", "Short Films and Public Service Announcements of the Century of Turkiye", "Sound Tunnel of the Century", "100th Anniversary Badge", "Exhibition of the Century of Trust", "Portrait of Social Memory of 100 Years of Turkiye", "Book of Faces of the Century".

On the night of October 29, "Drones, fireworks, and light show" will be held on the July 15 Martyrs' Bridge, and especially for the 100th anniversary, a special floating pier will be installed on 7 pillars of the Bosphorus for the 100th anniversary during the week.
