Zvizdić: Let's lower tensions, Serbia and BiH are focused on each other

After the regular session of the Council of Ministers of BiH was postponed to Tuesday, February 28, and a telephone session was held today due to decisions limited by time, there is conflicting information about the reasons that led to this situation, writes the news agency Patria.

A statement was sent from the office of the Chairman Denis Zvizdić, clarifying the reasons for postponing the session.

- At today's session of the Collegium of the Council of Ministers of BiH, attended by my deputies, Ministers Šarović and Bevanda, we jointly concluded that instead of the regular session, we would hold a telephone session of the Council of Ministers of BiH today, which considered and adopted materials related to clearly defined deadlines, while the next regular session will be held next week.

It is important to emphasize that we will strive to be the voice of reason as the Council of Ministers of BiH in the currently heated atmosphere, because the work of numerous institutions and the implementation of numerous projects important for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina depend on the work of the Council of Ministers.

Regarding the current internal relations in BiH, I call for lowering tensions and appropriate rhetoric, because competing in who will make a more radical statement will certainly not lead to a solution. The solution lies in institutional dialogue, respect for the BiH Constitution and the continuity of valid legal acts, as well as the continuation of the implementation of projects and reforms that lead us towards the European Union, strengthen our economy and create new jobs.

As for regional cooperation, the Council of Ministers of BiH will continue cooperation with the Government of the Republic of Serbia because we are neighbors and focused on each other. I expect Prime Minister Vučić, as a rational and wise person, to send a message of the same or similar content after the meeting with representatives of state institutions and institutions of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian entity RS, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

The continuation of cooperation, the improvement of overall relations, the calming of passions, and peace and stability in the region have no alternative - this is the position of Prime Minister Zvizdić.

Otherwise, Minister of Security Dragan Mektić said this morning that today's session was postponed due to the decision to review the BiH verdict against Serbia.
