Zvizdić with Plenković: Open issues to be resolved with more political will

DUBROVNIK, (Patria) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić met today in Dubrovnik with the host of the 8th Summit of Heads of Government of Central and Eastern European Countries and the People's Republic of China (16+1), Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković, with whom he discussed bilateral and regional cooperation, the Council of Ministers of BiH announced.

Chairman Zvizdić said that the relations between the two countries are very good and friendly on the one hand, but that there are areas and issues where more political will needs to be shown in order to resolve such issues to mutual satisfaction and relax relations in the region. He emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to strengthening good neighborly relations by respecting all rules of domestic and international law and the sovereignty of its neighbors. As a positive example to follow, Chairman Zvizdić cited the resolution of the border issue between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.

Chairman Zvizdić said that the countries of the region must cooperate more effectively in order to better utilize the potential and opportunities offered by the "One Belt - One Road" initiative, in order to improve communication infrastructure in the region and accelerate economic development.

Chairman Zvizdić thanked Prime Minister Plenković and the Government of the Republic of Croatia for the warm welcome and excellent organization of this year's Summit in Dubrovnik.
