Zvizdić with Prime Ministers of Serbia and Montenegro: Good relations between BiH and Serbia are key to the region's progress

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić spoke today in Podgorica, on the sidelines of the Adriatic Charter Summit, with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić and the Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković, reports the Patria agency.

Chairman Zvizdić told the Serbian Prime Minister at the meeting that good political relations between BiH and Serbia are of exceptional importance for the stability and progress of the region. He emphasized the need to work on resolving open issues through continuous high-level political dialogue, and to focus future cooperation on joint projects aimed at infrastructural connectivity and economic development. He added that Serbia and BiH also share common European aspirations, which are a good basis for developing future joint projects.

The implementation of the conclusions from the joint session of the two governments was also discussed, and it was emphasized that their implementation should be accelerated. During the meeting, Chairman Zvizdić extended an invitation to Prime Minister Brnabić to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Zvizdić also met with the Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković, with whom he discussed bilateral relations and the improvement of regional cooperation.

The prime ministers agreed that there are no open issues between BiH and Montenegro and that the relations between the two countries can be an example of good cooperation in the region.

They emphasized that there is room for even better economic and cultural cooperation for the mutual benefit of the citizens of both countries.

They highlighted the need to create joint cross-border projects, especially in the segment of communication connectivity, in order to stimulate economic development through accelerated movement of people and goods.

Chairman Zvizdić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina has already fulfilled a good part of the conditions for MAP, and that the activation of MAP would be a big step forward for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Prime Minister Marković emphasized that the visit of US Vice President Mike Pence is very important for Montenegro as well as for the entire Western Balkan region. He stressed that Montenegro is with Bosnia and Herzegovina in every sense, and that Montenegro's support for NATO integration is unquestionable.

Chairman Zvizdić congratulated the Prime Minister of Montenegro Duško Marković and the citizens of Montenegro on their full membership in the NATO alliance and emphasized that Montenegro is an important factor of stability and promotion of reconciliation and political dialogue in the region.
