Zvizdić congratulates Croatia on EU Presidency: Properly promote Bosnia and Herzegovina's European orientation

(Patria) - Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, sent congratulations to the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, Gordan Jandroković, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, on the occasion of taking over the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

"I sincerely congratulate you on your six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union, which we in Bosnia and Herzegovina see as a period of strong reaffirmation of the importance of the European Union's enlargement project to the Western Balkans, which strategically, geographically, historically, and culturally belongs to the family of European countries.

One of the two key foreign policy goals of Bosnia and Herzegovina is full membership in the EU. This, along with NATO integration, is a priority with no alternative and which should ensure permanent peace, long-term stability, and economic prosperity for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Bosnia and Herzegovina has been, is, and wants to remain a visible and reliable partner in the processes of Euro-Atlantic integration and the creation of peace and stability in regional and international frameworks.

Given that Bosnia and Herzegovina has made significant progress on the path of European integration in recent years, we expect that during your presidency, Bosnia and Herzegovina's European orientation and achieved progress on the path of European integration will be properly promoted, and that it will ultimately result in obtaining candidate status for the European Union.

This would be the best and most concrete message and support for Bosnia and Herzegovina and the expected common European future, for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for the entire region," said the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, in his congratulatory message.
