Zoran Milanović on BiH: It's a country without order, I would push them into the EU

SDP Croatia President Zoran Milanović invited representatives of the Association of Croatian Guards Brigades Veterans and the Association of Special Police to a closed-door meeting on Tuesday, and the entire meeting was secretly recorded and leaked to the public. Jutarnji.hr published the details, reports the Patria News Agency.

After "scolding" the Serbian government in his introduction, Milanović tried to shift the topic to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He explained to Josip Klemm and Dražimir Jukić that the indictments from BiH were an even bigger problem than those from Belgrade, but he didn't dwell on that for long.

At one point, Zoran Milanović bluntly stated what he thought about Bosnia and Herzegovina and its authorities.

The SDP leader is not enthusiastic about the situation in BiH, which he describes, quoting a veteran, as "big shit," and complained that there was no one to talk to in Sarajevo.

- BiH is not a state. You have no one to talk to there, I would - if it were up to me, and some of you have origins in BiH, so - I would push them into the EU out of turn. And I keep saying that, turning a blind eye. There is no order, no system there, Dodik is colluding with Vučić. Now it's breaking through the Austrian presidential elections, for God's sake. These are things that concern us. It's easiest to get votes through Austrian Serbs, for whom the secession of Republika Srpska and organizing a referendum sounds very good. The guy is playing on that. What will we do? Will we leave Croats in BiH in a state with Bosniaks? We are dealing with negative people, remember that. These are not good and warm people - said Milanović.

Milanović also spoke about the indictment against the leaders of the so-called Herceg-Bosna, expressing fears that they would be convicted in the second-instance proceedings.

- Honestly, I am not optimistic, but some things suggest that the indictment related to the joint criminal enterprise might be dropped, which is important for Croatia - said Milanović, adding that in that case, the "Croatian name" would be preserved, and the six of them would spend some time in prison.

On Nova TV, when asked about the recordings that were released to the public, Milanović stated that he knew that the veterans' representatives were recording them.
