Zlatko Dalić: This is a victory for the Croatian people, for the veterans

(Patria) - The Croatian national team secured a place in the World Cup semi-finals after a dramatic match against Brazil. Coach Zlatko Dalić also sent a message.

"This is a victory for the Croatian people. This is what we need. Congratulations to the boys. A brilliant match from the first minute. This is a Croat, this is Croatia. When it matters and when it's most important," Dalić said for HRT, adding:

"Pride, courage, faith and patriotism. Congratulations to the boys on this, I am immensely proud. This is a victory for all of Croatia. This is for the Croatian people, let every Croat enjoy it. Enjoy, Croatian veterans, this was for you. With three million inhabitants, we reach the semi-finals twice. My players are not normal."

"I could jump out of my skin. I can't describe it, this is the most valuable goal of my life. My dad Jakov always says I will score," said hero Bruno Petković after the match, adding that "this team can achieve a lot."
