Why Izetbegović agrees to Belgrade's false hospitality

Does this country have no more pressing internal issues that it must go groveling to Vučić? And to a man who has built his entire politics on dramatizing the pre-election issue of Kosovo and the post-election issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

After Europe's sharp message about Dodik's referendum, the Presidency's trip to Belgrade is completely superfluous. It is also a fact that Izetbegović is going to Vučić at a time of mass beatings of Bosniak returnees in the RS.

First and second attendants

Expecting Vučić to renounce Dodik is one of the biggest stupidities I have heard. Vučić lives off Dodik's radicalism, blackmail and threats directed at this country. Vučić has very serious problems with his own economy, with the collapse of Greek branches in Serbia, with enormous debt, with unemployment that is as tragic as that in BiH...

All these problems are pushed into the background and the dramaturge Vučić is in action. When Bosnia is on the agenda, his rating rises and he becomes an important factor. Vučić, besides being the prime minister and president of the state of Serbia, is also the minister of foreign affairs and the minister of security... The question is only what he is not.    

He will line up three presidents from the neighborhood. How else to describe this going to Vučić's feet?

The Bosniak leader is going to the infamous Karađorđevo with Ivanić and Čović. According to Serbian media reports, he will be guarded by a thousand cops. So, not a single one for Čović and Ivanić. Izetbegović is thereby marked as the only problem of this visit. Thanks to the Serbian media, Izetbegović has become the sole threat to his own visit.  

Until yesterday, the Serbian media spoke of Bosniaks as a disruptive factor in the region. What will a legally and democratically elected president of a disruptive factor mean there then? 

The other two members of the Presidency, Čović and Ivanić, have been turned into Izetbegović's first and second attendants. Why?

Is it because they are on their home turf in Karađorđevo? Čović has already been there once with Dodik. When Tuđman once went to Karađorđevo for agreements with Milošević, many in Croatia rebelled, because from that resort the persecutions and arrests of members of the Croatian Maspok from 1971 began. Čović has no ear for such things. He once silently accompanied Dodik's praises of Šešelj.    

This entire transit circus is full of hidden intentions of the organizer Vučić. It is seasoned precisely with that thousand police officers.  

Assessments and evaluations

Three statesmen from BiH go groveling to an ordinary prime minister. There, security services from their own country await them. One must ask: Has BiH thus become something like an internal affair of Serbia?        

Shouldn't the question of SIPA and OSA's responsibility for Srebrenica have been raised immediately, and some things finally cleaned up in their own backyard? It seems security-wise inarticulate and without any goal or motive to reciprocate with an urgent visit to Vučić and erase one problem by opening another, with the same actors.     

What is the assessment from the Federation's MUP, where Izetbegović's party-appointed cadres rule? Are they, God forbid, as accurate as they were in Srebrenica? They are silent while Izetbegović packs. That means their assessments are favorable. The Serbian media massively accused Izetbegović of having set up that attack on Vučić in Srebrenica. Now official confirmation of that comes from Vučić, because only because of him will a thousand police officers be engaged. Izetbegović talks semi-privately with Vučić, and the latter schedules the visit via mobile. Any agreements could have been made by phone as well. How much private dealing can there be in state affairs? Couldn't the visit have waited a month or two?

Finally, what does this visit mean for Izetbegović and Bosnia? He will meet with Vučić and a thousand gendarmes. In Srebrenica, Vučić was let among 30,000 people. Izetbegović will be surrounded by 1,000 of Vučić's cops.   

Reis Kavazović said at the mass funeral in Prijedor: „We will not agree to false repentance.“ Why does Izetbegović agree to false hospitality and yet another public lie against this state?
