SARAJEVO, (Patria) - The air in Zagreb is currently the most polluted in the world. Right after Zagreb on the infamous list, which is almost traditionally at the top during winter days, is the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On the IQAIR list, which ranks cities based on air pollution, Zagreb currently has an index of 167, and Sarajevo 166 – which classifies the air in these cities as 'unhealthy'.
They are followed by India's Mumbai and Kolkata, and not far behind is the capital of Serbia, which is in seventh place.

Let us recall, experts warn that the already long-alarming situation in Sarajevo regarding this issue will likely become even more difficult soon, given that many citizens, due to rising energy prices, are expected to resort to heating methods that are not recommended.
