Zagreb: Šelendić family house decorated with 2,000 lights

ZAGREB - The Šelendić family from Markuševec has been decorating their house and weekend cottage with lights, sleds, and other Christmas decorations for the fourth year in a row, bringing a true holiday atmosphere to this area, reports the BH News Agency Patria.

According to Jadranka Šelendić, they add a few more lights each year, and this year there are 2,000. When it gets dark, they turn on the lights, and turn them off an hour after midnight.

- The electricity bill is a bit higher, but we expect that - says Šelendić.

According to the neighbors, when they walk through the settlement at night, everything looks like a fairy tale, and everyone stops to admire the house. Children, who often play in the Šelendić's yard, are the most delighted.

A few snowflakes are missing for the complete experience, but according to forecasts, this Christmas in Croatia, as well as the region, will be without snow.
