Vula Tsetsi: Students at protests in Belgrade demanded elections, accountability, and democracy

(Patria) - Co-chair of the European Green Party Vula Tsetsi stated that demonstrators in Belgrade on Saturday demanded elections, accountability, and democracy.

The demonstrators demand elections, accountability, and democracy. We stand with the Serbian people.

The European Union must stop tolerating Vučić's democratic backsliding, said Vula Tsetsi, her party announced.

"Belgrade has spoken. The number of demonstrators against the corruption and intimidation of the Vučić regime was huge. Reports and footage show police violence against demonstrators," she added.

Students in blockade demanded on Saturday evening from a rally at Slavija that government representatives call elections after which academics will be able to fulfill the promise of "fair government, freedom, and a dignified life".
