Vučić's Greater Serbian Dream: Even Macron Has Read It, No One in BiH Believes the 'Peacemaker' from Belgrade Anymore

Goodbye BiH, welcome RSexit, Milorad Dodik said today in the National Assembly of the entity Republika Srpska. Thus, the member of the BiH Presidency completed the story he has been promoting in recent days, announcing the separation of this entity from Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Although he started with announcements after the Decision of the Constitutional Court of BiH, Milorad Dodik got his wings after the Belgrade summit of Serbdom and Christianity. It is obvious that at that gathering, Dodik received the signal to embark on this dangerous path. 

And the signal must have been given to him by Aleksandar Vučić. A radical, more precisely a student of Šešelj, he is the most dangerous mine for the socio-security order of Kosovo, Montenegro, and especially Bosnia and Herzegovina. Aware of the loss of the former Serbian province and angry that Milo Đukanović does not allow him even a fraction of a chance to cause conflicts in Montenegro, Aleksandar Vučić decided to use his pawn to stir up the situation in our country. 

The innocent face of a false peacemaker and pro-European oriented politician can no longer deceive anyone. This was recently told to him by Emmanuel Macron, saying that while “Vučić talks about the EU, Russia calls the shots in Serbia.” 

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, too, Vučić's mask can no longer deceive anyone. Since coming to power, Vučić has been chanting about respecting ‘territorial integrity’, while simultaneously working to undermine that integrity as well as the sovereignty of BiH. Contrary to protocol rules, Vučić enters BiH and “strengthens ties between Serbs on both sides of the Drina.” 

That and such a Vučić, with the mortgage of “100 Muslims for one Serb”, is no longer a guarantor of peace and coexistence for anyone. Aleksandar Vučić can only be and is a dreamer of a Greater Serbia and two Serbian states on the borders of the Drina. Such a Vučić should not be any kind of partner for Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

Because Serbia and its president have been lying for years that they are guarantors of the Dayton Agreement, and on those lies they have fanned divisions within Bosnia and Herzegovina. The latest crisis in BiH was also prepared in the same Belgrade kitchen. 

However, Vučić and Dodik could ultimately lead Serbs on both sides of the Drina into the wilderness of poverty and exhaustion, thus giving them additional arguments to leave their hearths forever. Both Dodik and Vučić are aware that an attempt to create a Greater Serbia, modeled on the events of the '90s, can only bring them final defeat. That is why they say that a solution must be reached in the interest of peace. 

Aleksandar Vučić fears war conflict, because he is aware of Serbia's stretched position on three sides, on three political fronts. That is probably why he calls for the division of BiH in peace, forgetting that the very part of the BiH state he wants to separate was created through aggression, genocide, war crimes, and the worst horrors for Bosniaks and Croats who lived in the area of today's RS. 

Alongside Vučić, following the recipe from the aggression, the Serbian Orthodox Church has also taken a stand, increasingly playing the role of a warmongering megaphone instead of its primary role. Such a church undermines the constitutional and legal system of Montenegro and has never stopped interfering in the political issues of BiH. Nor has it ever stopped giving its blessing to the destruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The primary response to Dodik, Vučić, and the SPC should be a change of the Constitution. But not the unpacking, repackaging, and recasting of the Dayton Peace Agreement. Dayton 2 is no longer an option either. For its survival, peace, and future, Bosnia and Herzegovina needs a Constitution like all modern and orderly states have, and like, ultimately, Croatia and Serbia have. 

Through the adoption of this new Constitution, it is necessary to correct the historical injustices inflicted on the state of BiH in Dayton. Dayton was concluded quickly to stop the war. A Constitution in peacetime must and should be done according to the postulates of democracy. Such a Constitution would make life easier for all peoples and citizens in BiH.

Then, arguments for interference in the internal political affairs of BiH would be forever taken away from Vučić, as well as from the western neighbor.
