Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić said it was an incident that Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama decided to talk about Kosovo's independence at a meeting where it was not supposed to be a topic, reports the Patria News Agency.
Vučić said he regretted that Rama used the visit in such a way, but that no one would humiliate Serbia.
Due to the statements of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Serbs from northern Kosovo are currently organizing to come to a protest in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica to express their dissatisfaction with Rama's statement, while at the same time providing support to Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, the Serbian newspaper "Alo!" learns.
Even before the incident, Vučić said that the visit of the Albanian Prime Minister marked progress in relations in the entire region.
- This is important news not only for Serbia and Albania, as the leaders of the two countries are meeting in this way after 68 years, and I must say that our one-on-one talks, which were longer than scheduled, were not easy at all, but I am convinced that we can solve common problems through dialogue - Vučić said at a press conference after talks with Rama.
