Vučić forgets Serbia's peace and tranquility towards BiH: The situation will get complicated

BELGRADE, (Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said today that he is against a frozen conflict situation regarding Kosovo and Metohija, because Serbia can only lose over time.

- In all municipalities except Štrpce, the population south of the Ibar will be majority Albanian - said Vučić, stating that Pristina's intention is to occupy the north and achieve sovereignty.

He noted that the common denominator of all presentations at today's National Convention within the internal dialogue on KiM was "that we should agree to the independence of Kosovo, but not formally recognize it."

The state leadership of Serbia is not ready to be the sole participant in compromise and dialogue of all kinds, Vučić stated, while the other side, and those in between, pretend not to see who is essentially for compromise and who is not.

He compared this situation to the one they had with Croatia.

- Their intention is to bring us to a fait accompli, in the same way that Croatia brought us to a fait accompli after Operation Storm, that the same happens in the north of Kosovo and Metohija - said Vučić.

Vučić also spoke about Bosnia and Herzegovina today and said that things are complicated and will become more complicated. He stated that he never asked for those who carried out the "terrible attack in 2015 in Srebrenica" to be brought to justice. He did not mention the police officers who were secretly present in Potočari that day, who spoke publicly about it and lost their jobs and faced legal proceedings.

Vučić will come to Mostar in a few days to open the Economy Fair. Dragan Čović will be his host there. The messages he sent today about BiH from Belgrade are not in line with his statements from September 2017, when he said from Sarajevo that "Serbia is a true friend of BiH, although many will not believe it and some will not be happy about it."

- As for Serbia and its relationship with BiH, you can be calm and peaceful - said Vučić.

Whether unrest in BiH will be caused for the sake of peace in Kosovo is a question that only Vučić can answer.
