Vučić in Mrkonjić: For me nothing more beautiful - when I see how much you love Serbia

(Patria) - Aleksandar Vučić addressed the citizens of Mrkonjić Grad today, stating that he is happy ''how many people here love Serbia''.

He added that he is grateful to Milorad Dodik who, despite a death in the family, decided to welcome him.

''It is as if I haven't had breakfast, I will speak louder. You should know that I am especially proud to stand here as the President of Serbia before you, people from Mrkonjić Grad. I am grateful because Mr. Dodik wanted to come even though his father died last night. For me, there is nothing more beautiful than when I see how much you love Serbia. As much as you love Serbia, we love Republika Srpska'', he recounted, and then spoke about the aid that Serbia will send to this part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, N1 reports.

''There are no differences between a Serb in Pirot and a Serb in Mrkonjić, we belong to the same people, we share the same destiny. We belong to the same church. And we Serbs are not known as great believers, but our Church has not only preserved spirituality, our Church has always preserved the Serbian people. Those who would eradicate the Serbian church, our church is the Serbian church and do not eradicate our people. Our people are not ashamed of their Serbian name'', he added.

Dodik added that only malicious people can see something wrong in the visit of the Serbian president.

''We are not any kind of Bosnian Serbs, we must remain united as we are now in our efforts to affirm our rights without threatening others. The visit of President Vučić is a strong message in that regard. Only malicious people can see something wrong in this. Mrkonjić deserves this support. Long live Republika Srpska, long live Serbia, and may the Serbian Orthodox Church be preserved and live forever'', Dodik recounted.

The President of Republika Srpska, Željka Cvijanović, stated that Mrkonjić will long remember this day.

''Mrkonjić Grad will long remember such a visit. This is a sign of our unity and cooperation. We are together, I thank all institutions that cooperate well and work for the benefit of our citizens. This is a city that suffered greatly. This is a city where life has returned. When we are together, we can overcome all challenges, and we are determined to overcome challenges'', Cvijanović said.
