Vučić meets with Serbs from northern Kosovo, calls on them to remove barricades

(Patria) - Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Petar Petković stated that Serbia has received strong guarantees from the US and the EU regarding the demands of the Serbs and conveyed that President Aleksandar Vučić asked the Serbs to withdraw from the barricades.

Vučić will meet with Serbs from northern Kosovo after 7 p.m., when he will also see their decision on whether to withdraw from the barricades.

"At 7 p.m., a helicopter will take off, with President Vučić going to meet with Serbs from the north at the administrative crossing. In any case, at a moment when we were on the brink of conflict, we managed to preserve peace and we are waiting to see what the decision of the Serbs from the north will be. As always when we had good news, we do not celebrate, but we have received strong guarantees, and that is what is important and what everyone should understand: when we were at a critical point, Vučić managed to secure peace and stability," said Petković.
