SARAJevo, (Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has convened a session of the National Security Council for 7 PM, reports Radio Television of Serbia.
After that, Vučić will address the public, writes RTS.
Serbs from northern Kosovo yesterday erected barricades in northern Kosovo in protest against the arrest of former Kosovo police officer Dejan Pantić.
EULEX confirmed that a stun grenade was thrown at their reconnaissance patrol near Rudar on Saturday evening, stating that there were no injuries or material damage.
The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell emphasized, regarding the latest tensions in northern Kosovo, that the EU will not tolerate attacks on EULEX in Kosovo or violence and criminal acts in the north. He added that the barricades erected by Kosovo Serbs in the north must be removed immediately.
The north remains blocked today, both by citizens and by the police. It is not possible to cross the Jarinje and Brnjak crossings on foot or by car. Journalist from Kosovska Mitrovica Ana Marija Ivković told N1 that the night passed peacefully at the barricades, and that everyone is awaiting further developments.
