Vučić announced: There will be no early parliamentary elections

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić announced today that there will be no early parliamentary elections simultaneously with the presidential ones, although this possibility was previously announced by the state leadership, Patria reports.

Vučić told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that "there are no reasons" for holding early parliamentary elections, assessing that "Serbia is a stable democracy and a stable country with a very stable economy".

"Presidential elections will be held in a short period of time. The Speaker of Parliament Maja Gojković called local elections for several municipalities in April, and then we will have presidential elections as well," said the Serbian Prime Minister.

Speaking about the reasons for abandoning the previously announced early parliamentary elections, Vučić added that he "respects all actors and partners who well understand the state, state needs and state obligations" and that he has "thoroughly considered their ideas and reasons for holding parliamentary elections", but believes that there are no reasons for it.
