Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojša Stefanović stated this evening that he will ask security services to release information regarding the discovery of weapons not far from the Prime Minister's family home, and "if they cannot, are not capable of doing so, then everyone should step down," reports Patria. The Prime Minister and his family have been moved to a safe place.
- I told the Prime Minister, I am ready to step down at any moment - my position is not in question - I can leave office tomorrow morning, but that's not important - the essence is important - Stefanović told RTS, who visited the site where weapons were found not far from the Prime Minister's family home in Jajinci.
Stefanović added that the Prime Minister never wanted to talk about his security, but rather to focus on the economy, how to increase salaries and pensions...
- He enjoys physical protection from people, but that is not enough - it is not enough in this situation, and you must have intelligence protection - said the Minister of Internal Affairs.
As he said, he will therefore ask for information this evening... "for the security services responsible to provide us with sufficient information, to release information so we can see what is happening, so we can see what we know.".
He said that without this information, the police are doing and will continue to do everything in their power to establish all the facts, but it is not enough if they do not have sufficient information from the security services "to tell us what is happening and what we can expect.".
