BELGRADE, (Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić decorated Peter Handke, a writer who recently received the Nobel Prize and who openly denied the Srebrenica genocide and supported Slobodan Milošević's regime, for which he was declared persona non grata in Sarajevo.
Vučić decorated about fifty public figures on the occasion of Serbia's Statehood Day.
Writer Peter Handke was decorated with the Order of the Karađorđe Star of the First Degree for "special merits in representing Serbia and its citizens in the field of cultural activities and personal perseverance in uncompromising responsibility towards the truth".
