SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić addressed the public from Tirana and reiterated that Serbia will not impose sanctions on Russia.
Vučić stated at a press conference that Serbia will not participate in restrictive measures against Russia.
„I cannot sit or stand behind that declaration, because I did not write the declaration, but I must say that we did not agree to sanctions against Russia, nor have we imposed them. That is a fact, and some like it, some do not. I said that the attitude towards sanctions is actually an attitude towards the citizens of Serbia. It is not natural for us to participate in that policy… We understood the EU's message well, and I understood it through the discussion as well“, Vučić said.
He added that the Franco-German proposal will be discussed, but that it cannot be said in advance whether it will be accepted or not.
