Vučić on Dodik: You are crazy if you think it's my job to admonish anyone for what they say

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has commented on calls from BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović and Interior Minister Aljoša Čampara for him to distance himself from statements by Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik about the entity's autonomy within BiH.

"I have tried to avoid that. There are two reasons why they attack me. One is that they cannot explain to Bosniaks in Bosnia and Herzegovina that the Republika Srpska is a problem for them, so they always need a bigger problem, and that is Serbia, and then it is easier for them to justify it. What have I said against BiH and its integrity? Nothing, never in the previous 10-11 years, of course. But if you bring Vučić into it, it immediately becomes more serious and a slightly bigger problem. They immediately become stronger and more important, they figure I will respond to them and they will achieve something," said Vučić.

He also specifically commented on the two mentioned politicians.

"This second one (Čampara) I don't even know who he is, and this first one (Bećirović) it's better that I don't bring and show you what all he writes in his books and what he says about Serbs," he said.

He told them to first agree at any level of government whether they want to interfere in their internal relations in the state or not.

"How many times have they said that Serbia interferes in their internal relations, even when we say nothing. And now they ask me to interfere in their internal relations. They say 'Vučić, stop Dodik, you must publicly say this or that.' Well wait people, do you want me to interfere or not? What do you want from me? You don't even know yourselves, and you all know I am right. Are you really crazy to think that it is my job to admonish anyone what they will or will not say, whether I agree with something or not. I remain silent as if watered down to all your stupidities that you utter every day, trying to preserve regional peace and stability in every possible way. Just inform me next time whether you want me to interfere or not. When you make that decision at any level, then I am ready to respect that decision. Just tell me what it is that you want from Serbia?" said Vučić.

He also commented on Serbia's relationship with Bosniaks, which he said is good, unlike, as he claims, the Bosniak leadership's relationship with Serbia.

"We have the best possible relationship with Bosniaks. We will endure that their leadership wants to have bad relations with us, while we want the best possible. Imagine if I asked them 'Aren't you ashamed to spread lies that I shot at Sarajevo with a sniper?' You lie every day for 10 years. Show me one picture with a tripod and say 'here he is with a gun.' Aren't you ashamed to lie so much, all of you together? Do not use what you say about how I do not interfere, when in fact you are asking me to interfere," said Vučić.
