Vučić: I think I already know who will be the representative for dialogue and probably for Bosnia and Herzegovina

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić stated that, regardless of who is appointed as the envoy for Kosovo, Berlin will have the final say on resolving the Kosovo issue through Brussels.

Vučić, as he noted, thinks he already knows who will be the EU representative for the Belgrade-Priština dialogue and probably for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"When the representative is appointed, I think I already know who will be the representative for the dialogue and probably for Bosnia and Herzegovina. It will be someone with great influence in Berlin, or rather with strong support from Berlin. He will be under great influence from Berlin. De facto, regardless of who the person is, Berlin will have the final say through Brussels, which is not easy for us," Vučić said for TV Prva.

Speaking about his conversation with the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, Vučić emphasized that he is a sincere friend of Serbia who understands its position.

"Unlike those who think it is normal for Serbia to recognize Kosovo and that it is only a matter of time before that happens, he is a man from a country that has not recognized Kosovo and knows that Spain will not do so either," Vučić pointed out.

He noted that Borrell is a professional and must also talk to Priština, because there are Germans, French, and others who have recognized independent Kosovo.
