Vučić candidate for President of Serbia

The Presidency of the Serbian Progressive Party unanimously decided that Aleksandar Vučić will be the presidential candidate of that party, it was announced from the SNS, reports Patria.

Presidential elections in Serbia will be held on April 9 this year.

- The President of the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vučić, undertakes to continue talks in good faith with the current President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolić, and to try to ensure full state unity of all responsible factors in the Republic of Serbia, with the intention of defending Serbia from the forces of the past and ensuring its further progress - it was stated in the announcement.

The SNS also added that the President of the Serbian Progressive Party, Aleksandar Vučić, is obliged to talk with all partners of the Serbian Progressive Party and try to ensure broad popular support for victory in the upcoming elections.

The session of the Main Board of the Serbian Progressive Party, at which the decision will be made, will be held on Friday, February 17, starting at 5:30 PM, at the Sava Center, reports Patria.
