Vučić: When a Serb has had enough, there's no turning back

(Patria) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he will never forget the sacrifice of his people in the martyred Jasenovac. He said he is not a Belgrade Serb, nor is his father a Bosnian Serb, but rather "just Serbs".

"We are one people, and they will never be able to take that away from us. And no one will ever be able to change that," said Vučić, adding that they no longer accept that Serbs are always the guilty party responsible for everything.

"To be those who have no rights, for politicians to be of the future only when they agree to self-destruction. Today, Serbs know how to react in every way to any kind of pressure coming from outside. They don't understand that when a Serb has had enough, there is no turning back, that a Serb will not tolerate either yoke or oppression," Vučić stated. 

The President of Serbia said that "difficult times lie ahead and a great burden."

“In these regions, we are almost alone, all others would either like to permanently take something of ours, or for us not to have a say in anything. Our answer is respect, peace that we want to preserve, but also determination,“ said Vučić.

He also emphasizes that we must "never allow ourselves to be divided into Bosnian, Croatian, this kind and that kind of Serbs."

“Have you ever heard of Serbian Croats? You have never been able to read that, but Croatian Serbs has become a catchphrase, you can hear it everywhere... Only Serbs can be everyone's. My call to all of you is to be only ourselves, to be united Serbs, always helping each other, and Serbia will always help its people in Republika Srpska. Long live Republika Srpska, long live Serbia, and may we never forget the greatest sacrifices of our people in the martyred Jasenovac,“ Vučić stated.
