Vučić: Decision on government composition by the end of next week

Prime Minister-designate Aleksandar Vučić stated today that he will make a final decision on who will form the new government of Serbia by the end of next week, reports the Serbian news agency Tanjug, as reported by the news agency Patria.

Aleksandar Vučić stated that he is literally not sleeping due to the arrival of the International Monetary Fund Mission, which will happen a week before the formation of the government, and due to the issues that will arise from it.

- I am not sleeping because of the arrival of the IMF. You ask me about the government, and I dream of Mission Chief James Roaf. He appears to me in all the little clouds, said Vučić.

He stated that the IMF Mission is arriving in Serbia seven days before the formation of the government. At that time, as he stated, numerous issues will be opened, such as what will be done with the Postal Savings Bank, what about electricity...

- Serbia has a clear path. It knows what it is doing with the IMF and the World Bank and knows what is the only possible and good way. Let go of the circus and reality show that some are creating, he said.

When asked if the opposition can influence stability in any way, Vučić jokingly replied that they cannot influence anything except the price of ćevapi in the parliamentary restaurant. He emphasized that no world institution has said anything bad about the government's economic results.

- We now have GDP growth, and we had a deficit a few years ago. Everything that was going downhill, we managed to change its course, and these experts said it was not good, said Vučić, commenting that he does not know if they think it is better to return GDP growth to minus 3.6% and kill the people.

According to him, even the fact that he won practically more than 50% of all votes, considering invalid and similar votes, and that "their 7-8 lists have a total of 40%", while Vučić's list alone has 49%, which is better than all of them combined.

- Do you think it's because people like me. They don't like me, but they know who is responsible and serious and wants to work. People are responsible towards their children, that's why they think that way, he concluded.

Vučić, stating that he will talk with representatives of the SPS on Monday, with representatives of four lists on Tuesday, and with minority lists on Wednesday, said that by the end of next week he will have a decision on who will form the government.

- These are realistic frameworks if we want to enter the parliament on June 15 and then possibly finish the election of the government on June 16, said Vučić.

He said that he wants the government to be unified, to stand behind the goals as one, and to have good results.

- And that - we want to enter the government, then we will go a little this way and a little that way... don't even bother entering, said Vučić.
For me, it is important that we have people in the government who want to fight, if you want to fight, then don't go around and speak ill of what you are participating in, said Vučić.

When asked what he expects and what he will offer Ivica Dačić at the meeting on Monday, Vučić said that he has nothing to offer, that he will present the program and plan, and that he is asking for respect, according to the report by the Serbian news agency Tanjug.
