Serbian Government extends self-isolation measure from 14 to 28 days

SERBIA, (Patria) - The Serbian Government has decided to extend all self-isolation measures from 14 to 28 days, and to introduce a weekend movement ban from 3 PM. Guided by expert opinion, the Government has decided to withdraw the decision on allowing pet walks for 20 minutes between 8 PM and 9 PM.

These are the latest measures adopted by the Government at a session to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the government's Office for Cooperation with the Media announced.

All citizens of the Republic of Serbia, as well as foreigners with residence permits who entered the country on March 14 or later, will have their mandatory home self-isolation measure extended from 14 to 28 days.

This practically means that for everyone who received an oral or written decision on a two-week home self-isolation upon entering the country, the isolation will automatically continue for another two weeks.

All citizens and foreigners with residence permits, without exception, are obliged to respect the extended period of home self-isolation, which the competent authorities will regularly check in the coming period.

The duration of the movement ban for weekend days has been changed. On Saturdays and Sundays, citizens will have to stay in their homes from 3 PM to 5 AM.

Citizens who are not older than 65 can leave their homes on weekdays from 5 AM to 5 PM. The oldest citizens can leave their homes only on Sundays between 3 AM and 8 AM to buy groceries.
