(Patria) - A new storm has arrived in Croatia, and a red alert was previously issued for Istria, Kvarner, Gospić, Karlovac, and Zagreb areas.
An orange alert remains in effect for the rest of Croatia. Severe weather first hit Istria and Kvarner. Hail fell, and strong winds uprooted trees and carried away objects.
According to Glas Istre readers from the ground, a very heavy downpour with hail began near Bale around 4 PM, and in Umag, strong winds toppled trees.
In Pula, there was a heavy downpour and pea-sized hail, and the streets were flooded.
The storm also hit Poreč, as well as the Umag area.
