Everything is ready for the attempt to break the Guinness World Record in coconut cracking, which will be attempted on Sunday evening at the city cinema in Visoko by Edin Kajević, a taekwondo master and holder of the black belt - 4th dan, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria (NAP).
Kajević must crack at least 22 coconuts in 60 seconds to break the record currently held by American Jeffrey James Lippold.
- I am aware of the difficulty of the challenge, because in the last three months two competitors from the USA have failed to achieve it - said Kajević at a press conference held on Friday.
- With the support of my mentor, a master of this sport and holder of the black belt - 7th dan Muhamed Kahrimanović, and with the support of the audience, I hope for success for our city and country.
Kahrimanović, the owner of nine Guinness World Records, is in daily contact with Kajević and has been intensively preparing him in recent months.
- I think Kajević is in top form to break this Guinness World Record. Of course it won't be easy, but his determination and persistence give me additional optimism - said Kahrimanović.
Sports journalist and publicist Muhamed Bikić presented Kahrimanović with the book „Sportskivremeplov.ba“, whose life story is also featured in this publication, writes NAP.
