(Patria) - The residence of the President of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, "Vila Vodno", and several institutions and facilities in Skopje received bomb threats today.
Pendarovski's office was informed this morning by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of North Macedonia about the received bomb threat.
"This morning, on February 21, we were informed by the MUP that there is a report of a planted bomb at the president's headquarters. The president's office respects the guidelines of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the application of standard protocols in such situations," said Pendarovski's office.
As reported by the portal 360 stepeni, reports of planted explosive devices arrived this morning at addresses of several locations in Skopje, including that media outlet and the MUP, as reported by Pobjeda.me.
The targets of the threat also include the Museum of the City of Skopje, the Museum of Natural History, the Archaeological Museum, the MMB Museum, the Memorial House of "Mother Teresa", shopping centers GTC, East Gate and Biser, residential complexes Flatiron and Dževahir, hotels Marriott and Aleksandar Palace, the Sports Center "Boris Trajkovski", Skopje Railway Station, and the Football Federation of Macedonia (FFM).
The MUP stated that measures were taken immediately upon receiving the reports and that anti-terrorist checks are underway. According to the portal 360 stepeni, the threatening message was sent from the email "[email protected]".
"We will not stop until the corrupt SDSM government leaves. The authorities already know what they need to do, but they are not doing it. The letter was sent long ago. That is why victims must fall today," reads the threatening message.
