(Patria) - Lies are definitely the biggest brand of Serbian history. The mythomania imposed by Serbian leaders on the people has turned their past, present, and future into one big deception.
The policy pursued by SNSD in 49 percent of Bosnia and Herzegovina's territory is actually based on mythomania, so it is not surprising that the mayor of East Sarajevo uses lies to present the Serbian vision of history to visitors coming to this city.
The mayor of East Sarajevo, Ljubiša Ćosić, announced this half a year ago and realized it today. On the Sarajevo - Višegrad road, above the place called Hreša, a sign was placed along the main road: “Welcome to the City of East Sarajevo, the city of 157,000 Serbs who had to leave Sarajevo”.
All this with an English translation, perhaps so that foreign tourists understand better. However, all those who know anything about the city of Sarajevo know that it is the capital of a country that was under occupation and blockade by Serb-Chetnik forces for 1425 days.
Ćosić's lie will not change the image of foreign visitors, because even if he succeeds in initiating them to research the inscription on the sign, it is likely that they will come across videos, testimonies, and verdicts showing that Sarajevo was multicultural during and after the siege, and that convicted Serb war criminals manipulated citizens of Serbian nationality, some even forcing them to leave the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
There are stenographic records from the sessions of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska that contain the truth about Krajišnik's call for around 150,000 Serbs from Ilijaš, Vogošća, Hadžići, Ilidža, Rajlovac, and Grbavica to begin relocating from February 17, 1996.
“They remained in ‘Alija’s state’. Leave and move to Republika Srpska. If my house in Zabrđe fell to the Federation, what are you doing there,” was Krajišnik’s instruction to the Serbs.
Krajišnik continued to call through Pale media, so the message on Ćosić's sign would be credible if, along with “157,000 Serbs who had to leave Sarajevo,” it also stated, “and after war criminal Krajišnik called them”.
Without that, it will remain just one piece of Serbian mythomania and fuel to the fire in these volatile times.
