
(Patria) - Severe weather has arrived in Croatia. Strong winds and heavy rain have caused chaos in Zagreb. The destructive wind carried everything in its path, and heavy rain flooded the streets. The damage is enormous. Two people have died.
Due to the storm that hit Zagreb around 4 PM, emergency services received over 700 calls, including several reports of injured persons, and firefighters alone had 50 interventions.

She added that specifications are being made at the Institute, but that there are a large number of injured people throughout the city, and some are very seriously injured.
"We have two male individuals who died due to falling trees. They had multiple head injuries," Hitrova said.
"The 112 County Center Zagreb is having difficulty communicating with emergency and utility services due to the large number of calls in a short period (over 700 calls in 45 minutes)," the Directorate of Civil Protection reported on Twitter.
"A whole series of buildings have torn shutters, they flew through the air in a whirlwind, part of a building lost a huge piece of plastic, so the building is now open, parts are all over the floor," a reader reports to us.
In Karlovac County, at least 200 houses were damaged in the storm that hit Žakanje, Ribnik, and Karlovac shortly before 4 PM.
