Large number of Muslims performed Bayram prayer in mosques in Croatia

(Patria) - Bayram prayer was performed this morning in the Zagreb mosque, led by Imam Aziz Alili. A large number of believers came this morning to start the Bayram day in the mosque and with prayer.
"Hajj is a ritual by which Allah reminds us that people are one family, that they should live in peace, as brothers and sisters. The awareness of mutual connection and closeness, despite all trials, has sustained humankind. Extending a helping hand to others also makes our lives better and nobler," Alili said in his sermon.

The central celebration of Kurban Bayram this year was held in the Rijeka mosque, where the Bayram sermon was delivered by Mufti Aziz ef. Hasanović, President of the Mesihata of the Islamic Community in Croatia. The Rijeka celebration was directly broadcast by Croatian Radio Television, during which the Bayram message of Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Kavazović was read.

"Kurban or Hajj Bayram is one of the two most significant Islamic holidays, when Muslims most often sacrifice a ram or a sheep, and the sacrificial meat is divided into three parts: for the family, neighbors and relatives, and for the poor. Children are given gifts, neighbors and relatives are visited and given gifts, and Muslims who are able perform Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, the fifth duty of Islam," said ef. Hasanović.
