-I am convinced that you will experience traditional Serbian hospitality during your stay in Serbia and that you will take the fondest memories from our country, stated the Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić last night in a toast at the dinner he hosted for the British Prince Charles and his wife Camilla at the House of Guards in Topčider in Belgrade, reports the Patria News Agency.
-I raise this glass to the health of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, for the well-being and further progress of the friendly British people, for our common good, said Vučić.
-The United Kingdom and Serbia are connected by long-standing relations, established in 1937 when the first British consulate was opened in Belgrade, Vučić recalled.
-We were allies in two world wars, and today we are, facing the challenges of the modern world, said the Prime Minister of Serbia, adding that he hopes distinguished guests will come more often.
-After Prince Charles's last visit 38 years ago and Margaret Thatcher two years later, we have not seen a Prime Minister of Great Britain, nor the Prince of Wales, nor anyone of such significance from your country here. I hope you will come to Serbia more often, that you will love our country and its wonderful people, said Vučić, according to Serbian media.
